Ghania's story

Ghania, the Lebanese mother of five children, has succeeded in running her home-based business in sewing in addition to developing her skills in handicrafts and making her creative hobby a source of income. Although she is 59-years old, she is still striving to maintain her children a brighter future and a decent life.

She sacrifices her time and health for the sake of her family and recently she was feeling sick and needed some medical blood tests which she cannot afford. So, she acquired a loan from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua to cover her medical expenses to continue her work without any health problems.

The sacrificing mother wishes to have her own shop soon to improve her business and be more professional in her work and she hopes to maintain a good income for her children.
