Latifatou I. was born in 1975 at Abeokouta, Nigeria. For the past 10 years Latifatou has lived in the Ayetawadja neighborhood of Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Latifatou is the mother of 3 school aged children and married to Soule Adelou, a businessman. Latifatou lives together with her husband and children. Together, the couple meet the needs of the family. Latifatou did not attended school. When she was about 8 years old, Latifatou started to sell fabrics by hawking in Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. With this business she earned income which she used to meet her various responsibilities. Latifatou buys her provisions in Lome, Togo, a country neighboring on Benin. Latifatou has already benefited from 3 loans made with ALIDe and these have been duly repaid. Latifatou has recently been experiencing difficulty in acquiring her provisions. For this reason Latifatou has requested this, her fourth loan, to satisfy her customers demands and increase the scope of her business.
