Aïssatou's Group's story

These five women live in the village where a banc villageois was set up in August 2006. They are all active in retail and semi-wholesale trade.

Fatou, 51, is married and has seven children, including one boy. She has been selling palm oil, honey, myrrh and seasonal fruit for over 15 years. With this loan, she plans to buy 200 litres of palm oil, four 20-litre cans of honey, three 20-litre cans of myrrh, and baskets of seasonal fruits.

Fatou intends to buy a fridge with her profits.
