Betty's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more slippers to sell.

Betty's story

Meet 30-year-old Betty. She lives with her partner and her 6-year-old child, who attends school. Betty attended school until 12th grade.

Betty runs a business selling slippers as her main source of income. She learned this trade from her mother, and her partner gave her money to start the business. She has been in this business for 9 years and considers herself to be a hardworking business-woman. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

Betty has no problems with her business. She sells 6 days per week. To continue her business, Betty applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia a KIVA Field Partner to buy more slippers to sell. She likes her business because it lets her earn more money on a daily basis.

Betty's future plan is to own a bigger business and support her children. She wishes to say thanks to all lenders around the world.
