Rubenia's story

Rubenia, age 58, is in a common-law marriage and has three children. She lives in the Peña Blanca area in Cortes. She lives with her husband and a granddaughter, and they help her with the business. She previously devoted herself to selling condiments. She established a business selling sandals and new clothes for men and women and a variety of cosmetics. With the earnings that were produced she currently also has a grocery store, and she has a good demand and good clientele.

She is requesting her sixth loan cycle in order to stock her store with products like dairy products, bread, flour, corn, beans, meat, vegetables, fruit, juices, condiments, eggs, soft drinks, and more. This way she will be able to stock her business with more products and cover her customer demand. Her plan is to continue increasing her inventory of merchandise, to increase the earnings, and to be able to have a better standard of living.
