Eliza's story

Meet 40-year-old Eliza from the Waterloo branch. She is married with six children between the ages of 2 and 23 years old.

Eliza runs a retail shop business where she sells provisions, toiletries, cosmetics, drinks, water, etc. to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years now and works 9 hours per day and 6 days a week. She says her business is going on well without any challenge. Her other source of income is from her husband.

Eliza requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more provisions, toiletries, cosmetics, drinks, water, etc. to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family and pay fees for her children. In the next five years she wants to expand to a big shop. She says thanks and gives appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
