Marie Jeanne's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more rice, tomatoes, bananas, etc. to sell to the community.

Marie Jeanne's story

Marie Jeanne is 44 years old and married with four children. Her dream is to improve her family’s living standards.

For the past five years, Marie Jeanne has been selling rice, tomatoes, bananas, etc. at her general store to the community. Marie Jeanne loves her work because it allows her to provide for her family.

She wants to expand her business gradually, yet her lack of capital prevents her from doing so. Therefore, she is requesting a loan to expand her business by purchasing more rice, tomatoes, bananas, etc. to sell. This should increase her sales and earn her more income.

The profits generated by this loan will be used to pay for her family’s medical insurance and school fees for her children. This is Marie Jeanne's first loan with VisionFund Rwanda. Consequently, she is truly appreciative to Kiva lenders for offering her this loan.
