Samara's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Samara's story

Samara is 39 years old, married and has 4 children of school age. She has a higher education and works as a teacher in a local school. She is a very hard-working and responsible woman by nature.

To supplement her family's income, Samara has been involved in animal husbandry and crop farming since 1994. Thanks to her hard work and responsible approach to business, she managed to bring her livestock headcount up to 2 cows, 24 sheep and 7 horses. She also has 0.37 hectares of irrigated land where she grows beans.

Samara has a contract with a local dairy-processing plant to supply organic milk. This allows her to continuously invest into her farming business. Having learnt that Bai Tushum Bank has a 'Value-Added Chain' scheme under which she is able to get a loan using her supply contract as a collateral, Samara decided to apply for a loan in the sum of 100,000 som (KGS) to purchase a dairy cow in order to increase her cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Payments for the milk will be transferred by the plant directly to Samara's bank account and her loan repayments will be automatically deducted. Samara plans to invest the proceeds from the loan into further purchase of cattle and into improvement of her family's living conditions.
