Asha's story

Asha is in her early 40's. She is a married mother of 2 children aged 19 and 10 and who are in school. She is a retailer, she owns a retail shop that sells food items, soft drinks, detergents, bites and kerosene. She has been into this business for 3 years. She opens her shop from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. She earns a good profit that she uses to cater to her family needs.

This will be Asha's 3rd loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loans to add stock of rice, beans, cooking oil, snacks, spaghetti and soft drinks. She earned profit that she used to pay school fees for her children and loan repayments. She managed to pay back the loan successfully.

She is applying for this loan to open another shop and increase income since this business is the only source of income to her family. Her dream is to grow her business and open more shops in the future.

Asha promises to work hard and pay back the loan successfully.
