but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase fertilizer for her land and pay for for help with crop maintenance.

Floricultura El Clavel Group's story

Maria, 47, is a single mother with a son, and she lives with her son and siblings in an indigenous community in the town of La Esperanza, Intibuca. For twenty years, she has been selling excellent quality potatoes that she cultivates on her own land. She sells her product at the local market, and this is her main source of income. She is requesting a loan from ODEF, which she will invest in fertilizer for her land and in the payment of help with crop maintenance. Maria is a member of the “Floricultura el Clavel” group formed by three members who are engaged in the same activity and live in the same community. The group loan is for 26, 000 Lempiras to purchase fertilizer and manure to grow potatoes. The clients in the photo, from left to right, are Maria Laura, Maria Santos, and Maria Felix.
