Olinda Beatriz's story

Tosagua is a productive canton. Here, products, such as cacao, coffee, plantains, corn and more are grown. Cattle are also raised, along with poultry and pigs. The local gastronomy is well-known in the area; the main dish is fried or roasted fish.

Olinda is 44 years old and married. She has three children, all now independent adults. Her husband works at a packing factory. The family lives in a house that they own.

Olinda has her own little supplies shop. She sells a great variety of products, such as rice, sugar, oils, and detergents. She works every day from 6am to 8pm. He also sells merchandise from catalogues, such as shoes, costume jewellery, lingerie, clothing, and bed sheets. She collects payments for these goods every weekend.

Olinda will use this new loan to buy supplies, such as rice, sugar, oil, detergents, and other staple goods. Her dream is to have a larger shop and continue enjoying good health.
