Maria Elvira's story

Elvira is a patient and cheerful woman who is 53 years of age. She feels active enough to go about all of her activities so that she can help her husband with paying the expenses of their modest household. Elvira lives in a house that is on loan from her husband’s employer who hired him to work as a day laborer. She stays at home where she raises chickens and manages a business of making cleaning rags, activities that generate good income to help cover her family’s expenses.

Elvira wants to continue boosting her business of raising chickens, so she is requesting a loan. She will use the proceeds to buy more chickens, hens, balanced feed, cracked corn, wheat, and growth formula for fattening her birds. This will increase her number of animals so that she can earn greater profits from selling them. As a result, she can continue to relieve some of the burden on her husband with regard to maintaining their home.
