Elizabeth's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy chicks, vaccines, and feed.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is a 34-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and four children in Chikomba East in Zimbabwe. She owns a poultry business keeping broiler chickens. With her first loan, Elizabeth bought grocery products for her shop to expand her business. She used the profits she earned to pay school fees for her children.

Elizabeth is now requesting a second loan to diversify by expanding her poultry business. She plans to use the profits she earns to improve her family’s financial situation and send her children to school.

Elizabeth will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours weekly as a CAMFED Transition Guide, supporting other young women who are just entering CAMFED’s alumnae organization, CAMA, by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health and financial literacy, and by providing career guidance.
