A loan helped to buy pigs.

Fatou Elysabeth's Group's story

This group was created in June 2010 and is composed of women united in running businesses centering on trade and livestock.
Fatou, standing with her hand raised at the right of the picture, is 41, married and the mother of five children. She has been raising pigs for years.
She plans to buy three piglets which she will fatten and sells after five months. The rest of the loan will be used to buy feed and pay to care for the pigs.
The profits she will get will go to savings with the group and helping her husband to meet the family's expenses.
