Jamayiriwaton Group's story

Korotimi, age 38, is Malian. She's married and the mother of four children, aged 8 to 16. One of her children goes to school. Korotimi is illiterate. She's been raising livestock for the past six years. Now she would like to expand her business to make it her primary source of income. In the photograph, she's the woman holding the ram.

She's seeking this Kiva loan to buy rams to raise and resell. She gets her supplies in her village and in the surroundings. She sells at the local market. Her after sale profit can reach XOF 25'000. The profits generated by selling the animals enable her to cover various children's expenses: healthcare, food, education and clothes.

She had no problem with the RMCR loan and her business is considered in progress. In the future, Korotimi hopes to obtain a big loan to expand her livestock raising business, in order to provide for herself and her family.
