Cynthia H. is a 44-year-old married woman who lives in Brgy 1, Poblacion, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental. She earns her living selling dressed chicken and other frozen products. Cynthia’s husband Ruel helps her run the business. They have four children who are currently going to school and who also help their parents in the business as part of their daily chores. Cynthia Hisona joined NWTF-Project Dungganon in 2003 in the hope that she would be able to help her husband improve the quality of life for their family. With the help of her loans from NWTF-PD, she has been able to increase their family income by selling dressed chicken and frozen products. Now she earns an average monthly income of Php 8,000 from her business activities. Cynthia Hisona is a member of good standing. Her previous loan of Php 15,000 was used to fund operations of her dressed chicken and frozen products business and it had a positive impact on both the business and the family’s living conditions. Now she is requesting her 11th loan, a loan of Php 19,500, which she intends to use to increase the inventory levels of her dressed chickens and frozen products. Cynthia Hisona is working hard to achieve her dreams and aspirations for her family, which are to provide them with a brighter future and a more comfortable life.
