Apolonio's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a depulper in order improve the quality of coffee he produces on his farm.

Apolonio's story

Apolonio is a coffee grower in a remote community in northern Nicaragua. He is a farmer with good principles and great vision for agriculture. He is 45 years old and has 14 years' experience in the coffee business.

He runs his 2.46 hectare farm, 1.4 hectares of which are dedicated to coffee. With advice from the PAC technical teams Apolonio has implemented the criteria of the FLO, UTZ and C.A.F.E. Practices certifications.

He lives with his two children, who are 7 and 19 years old, and his wife in a remote community of Jalapa, in northern Nicaragua.

Every year presents a new challenge, and this one is no exception. For this season Apolonio wants to acquire a depulper that will help him obtain coffee with a high standard of quality. This will allow him to choose markets with differentiated prices.

This is the eighth loan he has processed through PAC. His previous loans were paid fully and on time.
