Pauline's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped us expand our storefront in order to move our stove from one end of the building to the next door location. We run back and forth 0.05 miles all day. The loan would also be beneficial for cash flow & signage.
Polly Matranga Happach grew up on the southwest side of Rockford, in a Sicilian neighborhood - one block from St. Anthony’s Church were she was baptized, had her first communion, confirmation, and was married. Both of her parents were full blooded Sicilian - family and food was (and is) everything. My mother, Antonette, made everything from scratch from the garden as well as the small grocery store on the corner. Polly’s culture made a huge impact in starting a bakery. Her Nana & Nano we’re immigrants from Sicily. They left their family and everything they owned to start a business in the US. Polly considers them the first entrepreneurs in her family. Polly has her associates degree from college, owns a bakery, a home, and has 3 grown children.
