Erlinda B. is from the village of San Antonio. She is 44 years old. Erlinda is married and has 3 adult children. To make a living, Erlinda plants, harvests, and sells a variety of vegetables in the local community. Erlinda also has a grocery store. Erlinda has been engaged in her business for over 2 years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP a month from these activities. In 2006, Erlinda joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Erlinda has successfully repaid a previous loan of 14,000 PHP from PMPC. She used her previous loan to purchase construction materials to improve her house. Erlinda is requesting a new loan of 14,000 PHP to purchase additional inventory and use as working capital for the grocery business. She will also buy fertilizer for her vegetable garden. This will be Erlinda's 7th loan from PMPC and second loan from Kiva. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve her family's living conditions.
