Meris Yolani's story

Meris, 32, is in a relationship and lives with her partner and son in the municipality of Nuevo Frontera, Santa Barbara. For ten years she has been growing coffee and basic grains such as rice and bean. She works on her own land and obtains a very good quality produce which she sells to dealers and at the local market.

She has always worked in agriculture and is applying for her second loan through ODEF, in the amount of 30,000 HNL, so she can carry out maintenance on her land. She will buy coffee seed and certified rice seed, as well as foliar treatment, chicken manure and fertilizers.

With this investment she hopes to improve production and increase sales. Her dream is to continue growing her business and earn enough to give her son a good education.
