Nyasha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizer and seeds in bulk to increase production on her farm.

Nyasha's story

Nyasha is a 35-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and three children in the Nyanga District of Zimbabwe. She has her own agriculture business growing maize, corn, beans, tomatoes and potatoes.

Nyasha is requesting a Kiva loan to buy fertilizer and seeds in bulk to increase production. She plans to use the profit she earns to further her education and improve her standard of living.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) Transition Guide, delivering an orientation course to young women who have recently completed secondary school to help them transition into a secure adulthood. The course provides peer support and life skills instruction covering goal setting, reproductive health information, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and community leadership.
