Nathalie's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy piglets to fatten up.

Nathalie's Group's story

This group made up of six women is part of the "Banc Villageois" established in the local area in October 1995. They live in the same village, are parents, friend and neighbours; they maintain very good relationships and are faithful. They are all small businesswomen.
Nathalie the main lender is 44 years old; she is standing on the left of the photo with her hand raised. She is married and mother of four boys, the youngest being 18 months and the others all at school. She is trained as a kindergarten teacher and, in order to improve the standard of living of her family, she found work outside school hours.
Nathalie fattens pigs which she buys and sells in the village and to order. She does this at home and benefits from 10 years experience in the sector.
With this new loan she will buy 20 piglets and the food to feed them. She will fatten them for resale after 6-8 months with a good profit margin. She is not the only one doing this in the village but she continues because the sale of pigs works well.
Her profits will enable her to save, to build up her working capital and to help her husband with the family expenses (education, clothing, food).
