Isatu's story

Meet 26 years old Isatu from Moriba branch. She is married, with three children between the ages of one and ten years old; two of them are currently attending school.

Isatu runs a retail shop business and sells provisions, toiletries, cosmetics, water, drinks and other items to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past five years now and works 12 hours per day, six days a week. Her other source of income is from her agricultural plantations. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes.

Isatu requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more provisions, toiletries, cosmetics, water, drinks and other items to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family and to educate her children. In the next five years, she wants to expand her business. She sends thanks and appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
