Caroline

Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya / Food

Caroline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy different varieties of cereals such as lentils and rice to help a repeat Kiva borrower sell in the local market and generate a profit to support her family.

Caroline's story

Caroline has been a farmer for more than a decade, and this is her sole source of income. She has gained great knowledge, skills, and experience, which is why other farmers seek advice from her about the best planting seasons, crop and animal diseases, and farming methods.

Caroline lives with the apple of her eye and family in a remote village in Kitale. Although she makes a profit from dairy and crop farming, she is not living comfortably and has always wanted to increase her income by selling cereals. Kenya's Kitale area, one of the country's most populated regions, has a high demand for cereals.

Caroline is requesting a loan to buy cereals to help satisfy the constantly rising demand. Thanks to hard work and commitment, Caroline is going to make the best of this opportunity and earn more income for her family.

Her goal is to earn enough profits to repay this loan and pay her children's school fees. Kindly support her as the world celebrates mothers this month!
