Alice's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy another dairy cow for her milk-vending business.

Alice's story

Just like any other Kenyan mother, Alice has always hoped to see her children living happily and attending school. To make this dream a reality, she has always injected passion and determination into her work.

In her village, Alice has been practicing mixed farming for three years. The income she makes from selling milk and eggs is used to meet the basic needs of her household. Though Alice has gathered much experience, she is uncomfortable with the meager amount she earns, as she is the only breadwinner in her household. Alice is unwilling to let her children suffer, which is why she works six days in a week.

In farming, she loves dairy farming the most, while her greatest challenge would be lack of enough feed for her livestock. Alice chose Juhudi Kilimo after realizing that they finance farmers to help obtain important assets for their farms. She is borrowing to buy another dairy cow.

During the Juhudi Kilimo training, she learned how to develop a savings culture. This loan will be of benefit to her family in that they will have more milk for consumption and sale and their living standard will improve.
