Gulsana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a dairy cow to increase cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Gulsana's story

Gulsana successfully repaid her loan and is grateful to the Kiva fund and to all those who helped her with financing. Gulsana has on her farm today 8 cows, a horse and .4 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows beans.

Gulsana has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Gulsana applied for 60,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank after learning that she can receive the loan based on her contract for future deliveries as part of the product "value chain". She will purchase a dairy cow to increase her cattle headcount and sales of milk. Payments for the milk from the plant will be deposited directly into her bank account and loan payments automatically deducted. With the income from the loan, Gulsana plans to invest in the further expansion of her farm by purchasing agricultural land and a part will be used to finish construction of her home and livestock shed.
