Mercy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a high yield dairy cow and milk cans to expand her milk vending business.

Mercy's story

Mercy (pictured in her simple house) wears a sweet smile as she welcomes the year 2019. She is happy that she has ended the year 2018 in good health. Mercy is planning to give her children one of the most colorful celebrations in 2019.

Mercy has many years of experience in crop and dairy farming and is motivated to continue engaging in agricultural production. Her region has good rainfall patterns and this favors farmers like her. Most people who live in this area are smallholder farmers.

Mercy has been practicing farming on a small, inherited piece of land for the past few years. On her farm, Mercy practices mixed farming and she sells milk, and crops, which are her main sources of income. She loves dairy farming the most, and her greatest challenge is a lack of sufficient feed for her livestock.

Mercy chose Juhudi Kilimo after realizing that they finance farmers to help them obtain important assets for their farms.

She is borrowing funds to purchase a high-yield dairy cow and milk cans to expand her milk-vending business and generate more income to sustain her family.

Through Juhudi Kilimo, Mercy has learned how to develop a savings culture. This loan will be of benefit to her family in that they will have more milk for consumption and sale and their living standards will improve.

Be inspired and lend to this zealous woman!
