Aminata's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sugar, cooking oil and rice to resell.

Aminata's Group's story

This group is made up of seven very energetic women. It stems from the Banc Villageois that was established in the area in May 2009. The women are good neighbors and share values of solidarity. Their main business is retail. They have already successfully repaid ten loans.

Mrs. Aminata, age 51, is the group's representative. In the photograph, she's standing on the right with her hand raised. She's married and the mother of six children, including two girls. Two boys and one girl are adults and started working. The others three are still students.

Mrs. Aminata sells food products. She gets her supplies in a neighboring country and resells at her home where her shop is located. She has more than 20 years of experience.

She will use her loan to buy 2 bags of sugar, 5 cans of cooking oil (20 liter each) and 10 bags of rice. She will pay transportation and customs costs. She resells with a good profit margin. She has customers she delivers to and who pay her monthly. Her profits enable her to provide for herself and to put money away within the Banc Villageois.
