A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers so she can earn profits to secure the future of her lovely children.

Veronicah's story

Meet Veronicah, living proof that hard work and discipline leads to success. Veronicah is a farmer practicing mixed farming to provide for her children. She sells her farm produce at her grocery store. Her family is composed of her, her husband, and her lovely children. She enjoys farming for it is her means of securing the basic necessities for life.

In the Nyahururu area of Kenya, where Veronicah comes from, most people depend on agriculture for a living. The people there live and work on small farms. Their biggest challenge is the huge deficit in access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be. Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers in Nyahururu can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Veronicah is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her fill the increasing demand for food in the market, and in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and elevate the quality of life for her family.

Kindly lend to this mom this 2019 and make a difference in a woman’s life!
