Julie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped To complete a new workshop that will employ Haitian artisans, increase incomes, and grow an ethical fashion and footwear brand.

Julie's story

Julie runs Deux Mains, an ethical fashion company in Haiti that employs 40 artisans to handcraft footwear, accessories and handbags from locally sourced and repurposed materials. Deux Mains recently scaled its operations to a factory 11 times larger than its previous size in order to increase efficiency and employ additional artisans and local staff. Julie plans to use a loan of $8,000 to train artisans and staff in the factory’s new equipment and complete the production of their artisan lunchroom and design room. This loan will contribute to Deux Main’s mission to bring dignified, living-wage jobs to Haitian craftsmen and women and to open the ethical fashion market to consumers across the globe.
