A loan helped to buy fabrics, zippers, buttons and other sewing materials in a larger quantity to save her costs and stock up her inventory of the tailor shop at the same time.

Transito Dinora's story

Transito is married and lives together with her family, which is made up of her husband, two daughters and her mum. She has three daughters of 14, 22 and 30 years of age, one of whom already started her own household and is independent, another one has her own business and covers her personal expenses and the youngest girl is the only one who is still dependent.

She relates that she does have relatives living abroad. The business Mrs. Transito makes a living with, is offering services as a seamstress. She learned the profession about 30 years ago in the country´s capital in a maquila. But currently she counts on her own location and it is located in her house.

She works from Monday to Saturday with a schedule from seven in the morning till three in the afternoon.

She will invest the loan in the purchase of fabrics, zippers, buttons and other sewing materials in a larger quantity to save her costs and stock up her inventory of the tailor shop at the same time. Her aim is to have everything at hand to meet the requests of her new and recurrent customers, which increases her possibilities of better sales and income.

Her aspiration is to start another business, in which she will sell various products to serve other necessities of her customers and which will be adminstered by her children. With this they could have a better quality of life.
