Magira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a dairy cow to expand her herd and increase organic milk yield.

Magira's story

Magira, age 34, is married and has four sons and two daughters. Her oldest son is 15 years old, and her youngest son is two years old. Magira has a secondary education. She has been engaged in agriculture since 2002 as a primary source of income. Magira's farm currently has a cow and a horse, as well as 3.8 hectares of irrigated land where she grows potatoes to sell.

Magira has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local factory for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to invest continually in her agricultural business. When Magira found out that she could take out a loan from Bai Tushum Bank on security of a future delivery (as part of the "Value chain" product), she applied for a loan of 30,000 som (KGS) to buy a dairy cow in order to increase the size of her herd and organic milk yield.

Payments for the milk from the factory will be transferred directly to Magira's bank account, and loan payments will be automatically deducted. Magira plans to invest profits from the loan in the further development of her farm and plans to use part of the profits for the construction of a house and for her children's education.
