Stella's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a single mom buy farming inputs such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to improve her harvest and make more income to care for her family.

Stella's story

Wonderful people, the nice woman pictured above is Stella (a single mom). She is 31 years old. Her passion and enthusiasm for farming have gained much respect in her village, and she is treated as a mentor by her village counterparts.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high cost of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs, which have skyrocketed. To meet the high cost of inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions that sometimes impose very complicated procedures of loan distribution. Some farmers, especially women, end up being disadvantaged.

As a knowledgeable agricultural producer, Stella has decided to apply for a loan that she will use to buy farming inputs (certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers). This loan will surely change her life, as she will be able to produce more and hence shift her income level.

The impact of this loan will be smiles on the faces of her family members.
