Maria Estanislada's story

Maria, 35, is a single mother with three children. She lives with her children and her parents in the municipality of La Esperanza, Intibuca. She is known for being a hard-working, kind and very responsible person with much experience in agriculture as she used to grow vegetables.

For 15 years she has been planting and cultivating potatoes on the same land where her house is. Her harvests are always good quality and she sells at the local market and by the truckload.

She has received several loans through the institution and is currently applying for a loan in the amount of 26,000 HNL. She will use it to buy potatoe seeds, supplies, chicken manure, fertilizers, lime and fungicides.

With this maintenance Maria hopes to achieve a better harvest and improve her sales. Her dream is to renovate her home and for her business to be stable.
