Mujeres De Fe Group's story

Kiva lenders play an important role in financing loans so that women can achieve development as small traders. In addition, women will be empowered on issues of leadership, entrepreneurship, finances, self-esteem and health services. This is the additional benefit that the ladies receive in the "Microcredit Plus" and "Health for Life" programs of Puente de Amistad.

"Mujeres de Fe" is the Communal Bank that operates in the state / department of Quetzaltenango. Eight women in this group want to increase the capital and inventory of the businesses selling food, preparation of natural fruit juices, ice cream, meat. There are other women who sell clothes, beauty products and cleaning products. With confidence, women come to request a microcredit to make these projects a reality. The first cycle of loan with Kiva begins with happiness.

Windi is 36 years old and is the treasurer of the group. She studied the third grade of education. Windi is married and mother of 4 children from 2 to 14 years old. She visualizes that her children reach a primary and secondary education for this school year. To achieve the goal, Windi works hard selling ice creams and a variety of clothes. She will use the loan to buy a variety of clothes and 2 large ice chests to keep the product cold.

Lenders of Kiva and Puente de Amistad are agents of development and opportunities for women.
