Carlos Torre 2 Grupo 1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy merchandise to sell such as flour, fruits, sugar, water, oil, and peanuts among other items.

Carlos Torre 2 Grupo 1 Group's story

Margarita lives in a batey (a group of buildings) in the province of San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. The bateyes are very impoverished communities in which people live in extreme poverty, the grand majority of whom are Haitian immigrants.

Margarita is a young entrepreneurial woman with five children who works selling food, especially bread and mabi (a beverage). Margarita finished secondary school and dreams of one day being able to have a university degree.

Lack of work opportunities obligates people like Margarita to have to build different businesses to be able to help with the expenses of their families.

Margaeita dreams of one day being able to have a house of her own and having a prosperous business that generates the necessary income to be able to provide a good education for her children.

Margarita needs to buy merchandise to supply her business such as flour, fruit, sugar, water, oil, and peanuts among other items.

Thanks for contributing with Carlos 2 group 1.
