Stanley's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to invest in clean energy technology for his farm.

Stanley's story

Stanley is a farmer who lives in the rural region of Konoin, Kenya with his six family members. He has a plan of eliminating wood, fossil fuels (LP gas) and agrochemical fertilizers from his farm. To do this, he will be investing in a Sistema.bio biodigester to transform his cows' manure into both biogas (renewable energy) and a methane-rich organic fertilizer (biol).

He is currently spending too much money on wood required for cooking and heating bathwater. With his 40 cubic meters Sistema.bio biodigester, Stanley will reduce his reliance on expensive and non-renewable LP gas and agrochemical fertilizers by processing the manure from his ten dairy cows to produce biogas and biofertilizer, which is both economic and environmental-friendly.

The resulting reduction in operating costs will allow him to better deal with the fluctuating and unpredictable milk prices and make it easier for Stanley to purchase more cows and improve his farm's productivity.

This loan represents 72% of the price of the biodigester; the remaining part is paid directly by Stanley.
