Loca's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase flour, cream, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, salt, margarine, and other ingredients for her bread-making business.

Loca's story

Loca is 40 years old and married. She has five children and lives with her family in Dili, the capital city of East-Timor. For four years, she has been earning a living by making and selling traditional Portuguese bread. She has the business set up in her house.

Loca wants to stock her business and has decided to request a loan from Kiva field partner Kaebauk Investimentu no Finansas (KIF). The loan of $1,000 will go to purchase flour, cream, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, salt, margarine, and other ingredients in order to make more traditional bread. With the loan, she hopes to have a larger inventory to make bread and offer a variety of products to her customers. Her goals are to grow her business, satisfy her customers, and give her family a better quality of life.
