Awa's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilisers.

Awa's Group's story

This group is made up of 14 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and support. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join the women's group when it was established in the area in November 2018. Their main activity is small business and agriculture.

Awa (standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised) is the representative of the group. She is 37 years old, married, and mother of six children including one boy.

She works in market gardening, cultivating onions and other vegetables. She has experience in this activity, having practised it for several years. With this new credit she intends to expand her field by purchasing seeds and fertilisers.

With the profits made from her business, she will meet her personal needs and those of her children and save to meet her future obligations.
