Kurerwa Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more secondhand clothes in bulk for sale.

Kurerwa Group's story

Tsitsi is one of the successful businesswomen who reside in Marondera. She has a reliable business selling secondhand clothes, which is contributing greatly to the upkeep of her household.

Tsitsi gets her stock from Mozambique and sells in her area. She is married and blessed with two children. Tsitsi manages to pay fees for her child who is currently studying secondary level. She stays at her parents’ house. Her husband works at the city council, where he is often paid late.

Tsitsi learned about Thrive from other women who benefited from the loans. She then organised a group of business ladies who live in the same village. Tsitsi and her friends named their group Kurerwa. Members of the group have been doing well in their businesses for the past two years. These ladies have known each other for more than four years. Kurerwa Group got a combined loan from which Tsitsi used her share to buy more secondhand clothes in bulk to sell.
