Aisha's story

Aisha is 52 years old, married, and has 4 sons and a daughter. Aisha has a higher education and she works as a school teacher. As additional income for her family, Aisha has been rearing livestock and farming since 1996. Today, her farm has 5 cows, 30 sheep, and 11 horses, as well as a land share of 2.0 hectares on which she grows alfalfa. Aisha is trying to invest her income from the farm and salary savings in improving her family’s housing. Recently, she began renovating the house, but she still needed funds to complete it. Aisha applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 50,000 KGS to purchase materials for home renovation. Aisha plans to invest income from the loan in the development of her farm and in the education of her younger sons.
