Rumbidzai's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy clothes and cosmetic products to sell.

Rumbidzai's story

Rumbidzai is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and child in the Kwekwe District of Zimbabwe. She has a store where she sells clothes and cosmetics. With her first Kiva loan, Rumbidzai purchased cosmetic products and clothes to sell. She used the profit she earned to improve her standard of living and further her education.

Rumbidzai is now requesting a second loan to expand her business even more. Her new plans are to use the profit to pay school fees for her younger sister. Rumbidzai will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide. She will facilitate classes about CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, which will help children build their self-esteem and motivate them to remain in school.
