Lindiwe's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy kapenta (small dried fish) to sell.

Lindiwe's story

Lindiwe is a 19-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Mount Darwin District of Zimbabwe. She runs her own business of selling kapenta (small dried fish). Lindiwe is requesting a Kiva loan to purchase more kapenta so that she can grow her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family and further her education.

Lindiwe will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Transition Guide. Her duties include supporting other young women who are entering CAMFED’s alumnae organization, or CAMA, by delivering an orientation course that consists of weekly sessions that cover topics such as health and financial literacy, as well as by providing career guidance.
