Fasso Kanou Group's story

Amidou is the man who is holding the ram by the horn on the picture. He is a Malian sheep farmer. Amidou is 41 years old, married and has 15 children aged between 1 and 20 years, three of whom go to school. He was lucky to be able to go to elementary school. His wife sells soap and condiments to help her husband.

Amidou has borrowed from RMCR to avoid bad credit and to increase his income. He has been breeding sheep for the past 2 years. He buys and sells rams in the various markets located in his area. He is motivated to stay in this business because he finds it easy to care for the animals and he earns a good income. His major difficulty is often the death of the livestock. He hopes to have enough money to buy more rams to fatten up and resell in order to generate more income to meet his family's expenses: health, school fees, good food and clothing. He also wishes to buy a house for his children in one of Mali's towns.
