Chitombohware Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a batch of 100 birds and chicken feed.

Chitombohware Group's story

Thando formed a group with her two business friends and named it Chitombohware group. She lives in a village which is roughly 30 kilometers from Marondera town. Thando is in the poultry business. She used her previous loan to buy a batch of 100 birds and feeds and repaid the loan very well. Thando keeps batches of 25 birds which are always staggered with two weeks difference. The group was able to pay fees for their children from the profits they got on their previous loan. Thando is a 38-year-old mother of five children, three of which are going to school. Her husband is a seasonal farmer. The other members of Chitombohware are into selling groceries and clothing in their villages. Currently, the group received their second loan from Thrive from which Thando used her portion to buy a batch of 100 birds and chicken feed. The group members are hopeful that their businesses will see great improvements.
