A loan helped to buy clothes in bulk.

Progreso Group's story

Communal bank Progreso belongs to the agency Villa Copacabana. It consists of 10 members who are friends and neighbors. They are managed by a managing board presided by Ana.

The credit they are going to raise will benefit female micro entrepreneurs with Ana being one of them. At the moment she has a business selling clothes, a job she learnt several years ago.

The loan she is asking for will be used to increase capital needed for the purchase of clothes in bulk. This will be obtained from the wholesale traders in the city of La Paz. Later on, Ana will sell the goods at her point of sale.

This way of working allows Ana to gain income in order to support financially her family as she lives in a common-law marriage and has 3 children. Her aspiration is to grow her business and have a house of her own.
