Rachel's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to diversify into cattle fattening.

Rachel's story

Rachel owns a grocery shop. With her first Kiva loan, Rachel began buying and selling clothes at a local market stall. She used the profit she earned to support her family school fee payments. Rachel is now requesting a second loan to diversify into cattle fattening. She plans to use the profit she earns to educate her children.

Rachel will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a Loan Coordinator, using her expertise to mentor and support fellow CAMA borrowers in her community to complete repayment of their loans. As a Loan Coordinator she has already successfully paid off at least one loan herself, so she understands the opportunities and challenges, and is uniquely positioned to help other CAMA members succeed.
