Uzma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase furniture for the students and to repair the building, including whitewash for the walls.

Uzma's story

Uzma is a 35-year-old married woman who found it painful to see the people living in her community with an hand-to-mouth existence due to lack of opportunities for a better livelihood. The root cause of this issue was illiteracy. To overcome this problem, she opened up a low-cost private school where the younger generation is given better educational opportunities to help them find better jobs later in their lives.

There are 327 students enrolled in the school, and 46 percent of them are female students. Uzma aims to have higher enrollment in the near future. Moreover, she wishes to improve the physical condition of the school. She has requested an amount of 60,000 PKR to purchase furniture for the students and to repair the building, including whitewash for the walls.
