A loan helped to buy peanuts to resell so she can take care of her children.

Benkadi Group's story

Minata, the woman in the photo with her hands on the peanuts, is a member of the Benkadi group. She is illiterate and lives in Mali. She is 46 years old, married and the mother of eight children, ages eight to 30 years; one attends school.

Minata hopes to have more money to buy a lot of peanuts, and earn more income from her sales to take care of her family. Because of her lack of financial resources, she relies on the MFI RMCR to be able to run her business. She buys her products at the weekly markets in her area and resells in the towns. She can earn 40,000 CFA francs from her sales. She dreams of helping her husband pay for the family's expenses.
