A loan helped to buy chicks, feed, and antibiotics.

Tavonga Group's story

Makanyara is a 38-year-old lady who resides in Bromley at a farm house. She is coming to Thrive Microfinance for the second time to get a business loan. She has been running a poultry business for the past three years, and her business is performing well. Her business value is currently at $783. She got a loan of $800, and she used it to improve her business. She is happy with Thrive for the loan she received, which improved her family life and the business.

She operates her business at home. She restocks twice per month using $450 for her poultry business. She managed to attract more customers as compared to other competitors in her area. She achieved this through good customer care and producing quality broilers. She is a mother of four, and her husband is self-employed.

Together with her friends, she formed a business group and named it Tavonga. These ladies have known each other for the past two years and they have been doing well in their businesses. They received financial training and a group loan. Makanyara used her share to buy chicks, feed, and antibiotics.
